No. We provide high-quality teaching and a structured plan, but outcomes depend on attendance, effort, homework completion, and exam conditions.
All tutoring is one-to-one and online, so we teach students UK and international. There are no in-person sessions. Teaching hours are 09:00–21:00 UK time (Europe/London), seven days a week, and we fit around your timezone within that window.
Tutoring is from £25 per hour (GBP). The exact rate is confirmed after the free assessment call, based on current level, target grade, amount of re-teaching required, and timeline to exams.
Most students progress best with 1–2 sessions per week. For tight timelines, we may recommend a more intensive plan.
We adapt to the student’s exam board and focus heavily on exam-style questions and past papers.
That’s common. We keep sessions calm and structured, build confidence through small wins, and develop exam technique progressively.
Homework is normally set after lessons and typically takes 15–30 minutes to complete. It may include exam questions, worksheets, practice questions, retrieval activities or tasks designed to reinforce the lesson. The amount can be adjusted following discussion with parents and students. Homework is reviewed by the tutor and used to identify areas that need further explanation or practice in subsequent lessons.
To cancel or rearrange a session without charge, please give us more than 24 hours’ notice before it is due to start. Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours before they are due to start are normally charged in full, because the time has been set aside and cannot be offered to anyone else at short notice. If your child is ill, or something urgent comes up, tell us. We will rearrange the session at no extra cost rather than charge you. If we need to cancel a session, we will rearrange it or refund it in full, whichever you prefer. Separately, if you booked online or by message you have 14 days from booking to cancel and get your money back, whatever the reason; if you asked us to start lessons inside those 14 days, we will refund what you have paid less the value of any lessons already taught. To cancel, email hello@virtustutors.com. You do not need to give a reason.
